| Well ideally this thread would be where you discuss how to improve the server. I'm only making this because I assume that something is going to be done about the luci (toggle?), and if it's not then maybe this can be for the next QVM. I will most likely be getting some ideas now that I am playing on unlimited more, and maybe you guys will too.
Anyways, my first idea was to have human bases without power explode after SD. I got the idea after running to a base for ammo, only to realize that it had no power. To anyone but a builder, such a base would appear to have power. Humans who want to heal/restock ammo wouldn't be fooled if the bases exploded. This could be helpful for aliens as well because then aliens could treat repeators as humans treat eggs; humans just kill eggs and leave the rest to explode without worrying about wasting ammo.
Some kinks with this idea are that in the event that the reac is destroyed after SD and the humans wanted to move it to repower an already dead base, they wouldn't be able to. Also, I don't know if nodes still work without power, but if they do then maybe only nodes wouldn't explode (or maybe they should to prevent spawncamping). And then there's the idea of this whole situation that rarely ever happens, so maybe this isn't necessary.

| Personally I disagree. So for relativity why would they explode they have no power so what can trigger the explosion? And why destroy it just because it has no power? Some what like saying of they don't make the N64 anymore now they go off like nukes after being discontinued. I didn't post this just to argue just stating my opinion. Also aliens buildings use creep (rip off of star craft) as a connection to the overmind and with no connection being relayed through eggs they cant function. | |

| I personally think that we should leave the human buildings the way they are, because it works now, and who wants to have aliens and humans identical? I think the point is that they ARE different.
Anyway I wanted to comment that for the luci, you could do something similar to what nexuiz did to it's guided rocket launcher. You have to fire and hold down the right mouse button while it fires, then keep holding it while you guide. This way you can let go half way through, and normal fire mode is available. | |
