dont be too down on him, i'm sure he spent some time on it, and at least we should be grateful.

overall it's not too bad (save for comments above) the background is nice, but you should try and make the borders around the aliens like the one around the overmind... and perhaps better placement would be nice too....
it's a good start, it would be nice to get our pic replaced ( it sucks)

and yeah it is really bad, people should really consider asking for criticism before trying so hard on something, unless thats what he's doing here. i suppose thats reasonable considering hes young

it's just constructive criticism so it's no harm done really

did he do that in paint or photoshop? because even I, who hate adobe's confusing interface, can trace a better outline (with a tool, of course).

and yeah you should check some better examples of work to use as references.

Gimp is freaken cheap, you can donwload it for free without a license .
Photoshop can do multiple things like doing REALLY cool effects for pictures (even designing models )
Gimp full of cheap effects,2 and a half dolla in the Somalian black market

Gimp's effects are damn cheap, but they're better than photoshop's caus you don't have to pay through the mout to get them, and they aren't shit, and no, gimp is not a half dollar in ANY Somalian black market, it is FREE in the WHOLE {ACR} is cool WORLD.

if there's anything that summs up photoshop, it is this:

I'm surly certain that, if major film studios, graphics agencies or videogames companies don't talk about this awesome program called gimp to do their texturing, it is inferior. Of course, the Internet is full of people who disagree with big name companies that make m/billions but hey suit yourself.

But I hate photoshop's interface.
