Avatars/sigs

Recently acquired Photoshop, and have been making a few avatars/sigs. If you want one, ask, and give me a general theme.

A few I have made:

rofl its all HL2 shit, and it looks like you can only do splatter effects

A friend of mine requested that I make him an avatar related to HL2, so I made him three and let him choose. He also requested that I put a splatter effect in there aswell.

better than just cropping out a larger picture, darkening it and throwing a quick name in there to take the credit. xD

oh, well are those the only sigs you ever made? it would kinda help to show more variety in what you can do, like skeptic and vyrus

and lad it was more than that, and took alot more effort than copying and pasting a bunch of "famous" quotes

I have a few around on my computer that I don't feel like (more like too lazy) to dig up, other than that, these are the only ones I have made.

no it wouldn't really take that much honestly. Crop it out and darken it and put a name in the corner. I could probably do the same on irfanview lol I'm only saying you didn't really add or take anything away to make it your own ya know? Better to take a render and add your own background.

that isnt the original image smartguy its also shopped, and the point is if you made little to no effort to make your sig, you just sound dumb telling me about my sig. if its so easy to make my sig then lets see you try to replicate it, and dont forget the effect in the letters.

I don't care what you think of my sig. I did it cuz it is different than everyone elses.

And if that isn't the same image it sure looks exactly the same in every single way lol but I guess it isn't the same at all. Just every single thing about it is, but it really isn't. It wasn't shopped btw it was lightened up to use on a gamer forum to talk about the game, enhanced lighting doesn't mean it was shopped. I can't work on it right now anyway cuz I'm at work. LMAO so now you're basically just trying to take credit for your name on it. "dont forget the effect in the letters" If I got everything else perfectly you'd whine if I got that wrong. Well that would only prove my point cuz the majority of your sig was already fabricated, as I said. The lettering is just curtosy of photoshop, which I wouldn't likely be able to replicate without photoshop.

So my question is did you or did you not use an original image found online? It not being a render and not using your own background?

are you retarded? you must be, the name is there to show that its MY SIG. of course i didnt make the image, i added the effects! my name is there because its a SIG, dumbass. if you havent noticed, mostly everyone's sig has their name included with it. rather than make some abstract design around my name, i chose a cool image, added an inside glow, changed the blending style, and put my name on it. and then i did the same to the text to make it blend in more. thats why its called PHOTOshop, you take an image or PHOTO and you SHOP it. even though he used photoshop, what Killa is doing is usually done in ILLUSTRATOR. excuse me for using the program for what it was intended for.

and THIS is the original image, albeit with the wrong logo in the corner, i would know because its on the back of my game case because i have the game. since youre too retarded to notice, the image you posted was in fact shopped, to include that fiery patch in the sky, and it looks as though he may have {ACR} is cool with the hue.

wow you are really retarded. You just pointed out what i've been saying. You used an original image, oh you used the cover on your game, same thing. Congrats to you for using a fabricated image and calling it your own. Well you must have worked so hard on making your name so cool cuz that's all you're saying you really worked on that isn't actually made by someone else. Changing the blending and adding in a glow doesn't make it a different image, only changing the lighting. Some of the best sigs are actually done with renders and either backgrounds made by someone else (giving them credit) or making their own background for the image to make it their own and completely original and then adding in effects to make it look like something completely different than anyones seen.

*facepalm you got that from a wallpaper site...obviously it would have been photoshopped to everyones liking...my god..I don't think anything their is original.

what are you, some faggoty DIY freak? this is 2010, media is borrowed all the time. im not looking to make the best sig nor am i saying that i made the image entirely by myself. i found an image i liked, turned it into a sig and used it. thats all there is to it. im not stupidly trying to make some point about making things from scratch. that would be like me telling you to type out every letter of all the quotes in your sig because its fabricated and you just put them under your name.

no I proved my point it would be easy to make because nothing was hardly done, an image already made was used. Obviously my sig was made by other peoples quotes but THAT IS THE POINT. it's other peoples words. and no I didn't put my name in there like you did. I take no credit for their words, hence their names.
