Help on cleanin my computer plz double

Hey double, I was wondering, i want to delete my whole files of my computer, like i want my computer's memory like i just bought it, but i dont have the disk that comes with the computer cuz i got this computer from my brother and he lost the disk, and i dont want to lost the version of my computer XP while doing this process. so what u recommend me to do?

Well the easiest thing to do would be to just go into your add/remove programs in your control panel and delete any and all programs that you yourself installed. This in itself would free up alot of space. If you want a reformat i would ask around and find someone who has a dell xp disk. they require no product keys or registration but can recieve updates like genuine windows.

well my friends dont have Dell, how much one of those CDs cost then?

Correction dark, you asked me and I didn't know, then you asked if double could and I said I guess.

For Windows users:
Rule #1: Never, under any circumstances, install any version of Windows higher than XP. That includes Vista and the Windows 7.
Rule #2: ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS have back-ups of all your data. Since Windows is a highly insecure platform, a virus can very easily infiltrate and then remove all your precious files, or, even worse, randomly write '0x00' blocks inside some (or most) of them, effectively rendering them corrupted and unreadable.
Rule #3: After 6 months or so, re-install everything from scratch. Windows is a system that gets larger and slower as time passes by, and the only weapon you have against that is formatting and re-installing.
Rule #4: NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER [...] EVER put useful data on [C:]. In case your system f*cks up to an unusable state you'll have to reformat and re-install Windows on partition [C:], so any data on it would be LOST.

As for xXxDarknessxXx's problem, you should do the following:
- Try asking your computer vendor for a copy of the operating system for backup purposes.
- If your computer manufacturer is being a stinking piece of shit and they don't want to give you the operating system recovery/backup disk, which you are ENTITLED to receive upon request, you can try getting XP by some other (possibly illegal) means, including but not limited to friends and BitTorrent.
