| Hey Macs are awesome for graphic design though. They have a lot under the hood so to speak but yes there are some problems. I personally have windows and Ubuntu via a duel boot. Can't say which one I like more though. | |

| Depends on the apple comp. For the most part they can run design programs with more ease compared to a basic PC. What I did not take into account was the price. Macs are bloody expensive and I personally have not used a computer that costs as much as a good Mac so J am not sure how they match up. The most expensive PC I have used was a 1000 dollar laptop and that was only slightly worse than a new Mac book. I failed when I tried to run Photoshop, dreamweaver, flash, And aftereffects all at the same time. | |

| O_o the only reason people use macs is because they need the program itself to hold their hand and be so simple and streamlines. I prefer windows and linux. I use windows for most stuff and I'm currently finishing setting up my CentOS server for my remote file storage and game hosting. As for power macs are sad. they are only supported in graphical design and are a freaking pain in the butt to customize. Also you said design programs, I don't see engineers running solid works on a mac... | |

| My bad. I was referring to graphic design as I mentioned in my first comment. Also you don't need to convince me I use both those operating systems. The only thing I like Macs for is their graphic design capabilities but that is not enough to justify their exorbitant price and their lack or compatibility with most systems. PCs FTW. | |

mmmm, not so sure about that... the standard apple computers dont have nearly as much power as the computer i built myself..... more like half XD You are allowed to pay an extra 400$ in some Mac stores to custom your laptop. For example, a friend of mine, Gabe, did that recently, his computer now has the power to match most desktops, and a space limit of 500GB. This model was released in 2006.

| Depends, macmall.com I can get older macs for cheeap, then fine tune them for cheeeap, and has uber computer. Basically, you guys need PC's and Linux's because you are programers, and whatever you want to call yourself. Im not. So I don't really care. A mac has all the things needed for me. End of subject. | |

*applauds heartily* weed out the weak, let only the strong survive, then once we are the essence of it all, we shall have power to survive

Where are you getting these 2 years from? I meant the argument Bug. And Linux, I do know the difference between set architecture and operating systems. And I don't try, I do.
