I know that we've been over this before, but I don't think that we officially decided.
It gets really annoying trying to kill a tyrant who, as soon as he is hurt, runs around a corner, devolves and re-evolves to rant again, gains full health, and attacks again.

We could solve this a number of ways:
1. Implement a re-evolve timer
This takes someone going into the qvm and fixing it.
2. Increse the distance needed to devolve:
Same
3. Make them devolve with lower health
Same
4. Make it against the rules
It's a bit hard to catch, but this seems like a good short-term fix.


PS soz this should probably be under the complaints section, but Its a pretty important undertaking in acr server rules.

But even with the curving lucy bullets humans still have only 100 health. I think the devolve/revolve doesn't follow the intention of the mod. It was made to be an armoury for aliens, allowing them to trade out classes. It was intended to even the gap, but now people are "misusing" it. Because of this and because I think that it encourages hard-core rant whores I think it should be against the rules. (Also for detection of revolve just look at the rants, and if you see green spores flying out then you know that they have revolved).

On a side note: Enforcement would be difficult if we made it against the rules just because we could slip up and not see. But I don't want to put anymore pressure on our hackers..

Thats why the 1st 3 options could let them keep the mod, but even it abit.
It just gets really frustrating when tehy do it liek 3x in a row.

if the mod is meant to be the aliens armory, then I suggest my previous suggestion, that is
to allow them to devolve in proximity to the overmind OR the eggs
seeing as how the humans only use the armory in their base, this makes it equate more
to that

the problem is that it DOES make the aliens and humans more similar, while the game is
based around their differences

If we were to do something I recommend we add like a 5 second timer between devolve and evolve.

Ok, i see what's going on now... I was fighting in ATCS with base in the hallway and the tyrant just turned around about 20 feet from RC, and did a /devolve /class 5 bind

I just noticed this happening more frequently as well. specing, who is quite the faggoty, anal-rape loving rantwhore, was about 15 feet from me and about to die as a rant and suddenly he was a dretch and then a rant again. i suggest my original idea, a timer between devolving and revolving, but i agree that for a temporary fix just warn offenders and if they repeat just kick them. more brainstorming would help.

agreed, so we ask bug to make it an actual rule, no instant reevolution in the face of combat!

I find it funny people still are having this issue...you wanna know why this is a problem? If someone is devolving against you, it is YOUR fault. YOU fed them or YOUR team fed that alien into getting such a multiple amount of evos and if they shared their team or not gives them more of an advantage and it is YOUR fault. So maybe stop feeding because you won't win that way anyway. I think the fact people have issues with the curving luci and this only negates each other and neither will probably ever change. It annoys both sides, so meh.

As bug said before time and time again, the devolve costs them and if they abuse it to a point they run out of evos, It's your advantage.
