Immaturity/Abuse to a certain extent

In order to resume Memory's post, I summed up the two errors I spotted in the text:
-> The players started bollocking around in a real match.
-> No-one /callvote-d for ending the game.

hmm

well i think linux could help with this one a bit, since i want to see this for myself, linux, will you make me a script that will allow me to look at the previous chat. That will help me catch a lot of abuse and might make memory a bit happier, and myabe even the server better. Please tell me if this is possible.

I guess it's possible, although I'm not perfectly sure of what you want...

-> Is what you want a script that collects, organizes and prints out all relevant logs from the server?
If that's what you want, you either have stored your own logs somewhere on your computer and then I'll just write an app that pretty-prints and organizes them, --OR-- I could write a bot that connects to a Tremulous server and does basic surveillance and logs the required data. The latter is a very complete solution, as it would allow tracing IP addresses, polling the position in the map and scripting any possible behaviour into it (maybe someday even slapping humans and aliens whom it suspects to play 'games' ).

(DoubleHex, in case you're reading this: I just found out, Tremulous is completely based on Quake3 so it's protocol should resemble a lot Quake3's... so I guess it shouldn't be that hard to code a bot that connects to it.)


PS. Don't expect me to get working on it till Friday (19 Dec) afternoon -- that's my last day of school (FINALLY!).

If anyone thinks I am super serious, I'm not. I just don't like losing when it's not due to my failure as a player and teammate.

Writing that bot isn't that easy -- I just had a quick look over the Quake3 source files, I have to say, not only it's written in C, but it's a bit more complicated than I thought (I won't go into detail)... getting that bot to work would probably require more mental effort than just writing another game in some language(s) other than plain old C...

Right now I'm working on another big project, so I can't really take care of this.

On another note, you could ask DoubleHex whether he could modify the logging function of the qvm. If yes, that would be great.

Whatever Snugg does doesn't surprise me anymore.

im just going to say this once ITS A FUCKING GAME AND YOU CAN FINISH IT EVEN IF THEY ARE MESSING AROUND obviously if you nock out the RC our take out the NODES your perfectly inclined to kill them

oh and another thing if you keep including me when you talk about members play games it will be personal because fyi i wasent there i was spectating other words AFK and heres an idea if you have a problem with the crap and you wanna play the game why dont idk ask them to stop ever think of that?

I wish you wouldve replied sooner, because now I don't remember that game too well and have trouble recalling details.

I understand the part about how it's just a game, and if you feel that way don't force it on others. Me and superpie both were fighting to win, and someone deconned the reac. How would you feel if that happened to you, if you were actually trying to win? That's all I'm saying. You may not feel like trying, but others might want to.

By the way, whenever Snugg fucks around, I don't ask because he usually ignores my pleas.

Yesterday snugg went on one of his retard moments. A bunch of people were playing on ACR and snugg uses cp to tell everyone not to kill psaw suit and then he dies and gets mad at everyone.

then he mutes me for no reason, then doesnt unmute me. He says its cause i lied when i said "kill the saw suit and get a cookie!"

and I'M surprised nothing has been done about this abusive tard. the only upside is that he's not on often when i play.

Bug won't do ANYTHING to whom he considers a good player.
He should learn that sacrifices must be made for the greater good.
