Blade's usin' Linux!

I just installed a Linux mint 9 dual boot (/w windows) and I'm hooked. LINUX ROCKS. Im writing this thru firefox browser. Im a new convert!

so do i need to quote this 10x or something bad will happen? the vyrus will prevail in world domination! (or at least the forum)

Copy yo trem folder over, put it under your name as .tremulous (this is after you install tremulous from package manager)

That's because you have to use a different command. How about doing /rm -rf /

so... installed teh tremulous package and ran it. Got the title screen, picked a server, loaded the map, and BOOM i see my desktop magnified and trem, according to application manager, is in "zombie" mode. ??? what should i do to fix it?
I tried it on an internet server in addition to creating my own. same thing.

hmmm how did u install trem,

ubuntu software manager, synaptic package gui,
terminal, or just grabbing the files and a client ?

i searched for tremulous under the "start menu?" applications section, and installed the packages that it told me.

the easiest way is what chris said, goto Ubuntu Menu > Applications > Terminal

type:

sudo apt-get install tremulous -y

it will ask for your root password.
you should know it, because you put it in when you first boot up on
linux mint ( or other linux distros )

after that you should find tremulous under games in ur menu =D

i did, it told me that trem is installed and up to date. read my earlier post, i am having problems with it after i start it and try to join a server. possibly a video driver or a resolution problem. whats the file that i would gedit to change the res? config.dat or somethin?

WRONG - sudo asks for YOUR password; "su" asks for root password.

I need help!

the file you're looking for is in your home folder in the
.tremulous/base folder

( you'll have to hit Ctrl-H to see hidden folders )

the path is:

~/.tremulous/base

or



/home/<username>/.tremulous/base


it's ur autogen.cfg

but if you are getting to the main menu i seriously doubt that resolution is your problem

mmkay. Any idea what it might be?
Ill try to run it from terminal with -v so i can see the exact point at which it fails.
