Nice, I got like 60 Iron bars, 12 gold bars, 19 Lapis Lazuli, 1 Diamond, and a bunch of that red stuff. I basically found this cavern that keeps on going and going and never really seems to have an end. Oh well, more stuff for me >

same here. I just wanted some lava buckets so i could have a lava pit under a glass floor house (epic) with a lava waterfall on one side with a glass wall to see it (more epic)
and i found a HUGE cavern and all the stuff. its still not all explored so i will post if i find more.

Im gonna make a diamond pickaxe and mine OBSIDIAN and go to THE NETHER!!! WOOOOOOOOO

Ok, where is the nether, and how do you get to it? I have like 4 diamonds now, making a pick axe, and is obsidian the rock that forms when water and lava collide?

yeah youll get a great find like that every once in a while. the caverns are so dam huge, i just keep putting up torches and forget to mine. obsidian is formed when water hits a lava SOURCE. The nether (reached by a portal formed by placing 10 obsidian in an 0 shape on the ground and setting the botom on fire) sucks, theres not much to do there. netherrack is easy to mine and looks cool, thats about it. Btw, diamond is very likely to be by lava.

The portal has to be standing up, sorry i worded that badly

Place fire inside and boom portal (doesn't work in multiplayer)

i did it the cheap and easy way:

1) make portal in multiplayer
2) copy world folder to singleplayer
3) done

My friend claims his world generated an obsidian portal on the ice. i highly doubt it

on the forums pplz sed they got glitches where it'd auto generate portals on the way back from the nether
instead of going to the one they already built
( ie it wasn't working right )

ya but he never went to the nether, he said he was just wandering around on the ice and found the obsidian in that shape.

Since I lost al my worldly posessions in my last world by just dying in the middle of a tunnel that I always get lost in, I'm making a new world. Let's hope I find lots and lots of diamonds... Oh, i also want a saddle!

PS: Make an ACR server and let's build a {ACR} is cool huge castle! With a Nether Inside! Thats would bad ass as hell! Im putting a Fleur De lis somewhere on it!

do you know how to make a chest? 8 wood planks in a circle (placing 2 chests next to eachother on the ground makes a MEGAchest). whenever you find something valuable, put it in a chest so youre not screwed in the event that you die.

also, saddles suck, you cant control pigs with them. and the nether is a world, not an object, you cant "put" it.
